Video Servers
VIVOTEK's network IP video servers provide a user-friendly and reliable transition from analog CCTV to IP-Based Surveillance. VIVOTEK video servers receive composite video data from the existing analog hardware and encode it using our advanced codec system which was developed by our innovative R&D department. The video data will be securely encrypted and to be fed into a Local Area Network or Wide Area Network for both monitoring and recording with a provided VIVOTEK Network Video Recorder. Both MJPEG or MPEG-4 video compression are available with our video servers to maximize the bandwidth efficiency. VIVOTEK video servers enable an analog systems to perform functions like motion detection, DI/DO connection, pre/post alarm snapshots and more. Upgrade and migration to an IP-based digital system from an existing analog surveillance system made easy and cost effective. With VIVOTEK video server, the existing old and concealed coaxial cable can be replaced by inexpensive CAT-5 network cable or wireless WIFI connection.
